Invoking the right way: Namaaz with tajweed

Important notice for Namazis

Often people complain, “I say regular prayer yet shaitan attacks me and i end up sinning”.
“My prayers are only making me face tough times”
The true barakah of prayer comes into action with the purity of the act. It is easy to understand the diffetence in results of a job completed  with full “ehtamaam” (care and precaution) and the one completed half heartedly or under pressure.

Often we hurry saying a prayer, and make a blunder in certain words that demand pause, a specific length for correct speech or a specific expression. Sadly most people also skip sunnat in wazu and rakaats.

I felt obliged to write about the importance of saying the prayer properly, when in small groups, I heard the leader using improper arabic. Just compare it with everyday scenarion. How you pronounce a word of English Language describes a lot about your ethnicity, your schooling, exposure and family.  Forexample calling coke , cock, fry chicken, fly chicken. It is sad but true that we make fun of Meera and desi accents of our near and dear ones as well. Similarly, in classical arabic saying a word in a certain pronounciation and at a certain speed may lead to changing it’s very meaning. So it may incure Allahs wrath or unnecessary attention to only chastise and correct us. Therefore, listening to a prayer leader making huge blunders broke my heart.
sketch-1498157184603I also want to tackle here the argument that poor pronounciation and clithes, while saying prayer, will be taken lightly by Allah; as the intention counts more. True, the intention behind the act is extraordinarily signficant but the fact remains, even if you mean to say, I love you and you pronounce it I owe you, it will make a lot of difference. It will not convey the same thing.

Moreover, the very fact that you are not making an effort to say it right speaks volume of the purity of your intent as well.

Given you agree to my point of view, let me just highlight few unforgiveable mistakes in saying prayer.

Speaking with full mout or undertone of ra and laam given context, stretching with three types of madah, rounding up of mouth in leen cases, soft without whistle expression of saa instead of expressing it like seen, specific expression of dwaad instead of zhuwaad, different expression of two types of hah.

Proper pronounciation of Arabic is called tajweed. There are many mobile apps and youtube videos that help you learn and practice tajweed. Saying the prayer with proper tajweed rules lead to a namaz that truely blesses the sayer 15 blessings for each word. It also protects oneself from committing evil and being influenced by Shaitan. It also saves us from unnecessary trials and difficulties. May we all intend to improve our prayer, add khushu to it and make it purer( khalis) and worthy of best acceptance. Best of Luck. Keep me in prayers.
